Celebrating Disability Pride

Situation
Over 40 million Americans identify as having a disability, yet their voices are too often unheard.

Task
For Disability Pride Month, we set out to tell authentic stories that would challenge misconceptions and celebrate ability as a strength.

Action

  • Produced a series of short documentaries spotlighting Walgreens team members with disabilities.

  • Centered their voices, showing how unique perspectives enrich both workplace and community.

  • Rolled out across digital, social, and in-store channels to maximize reach.

Result

  • Strengthened brand equity and reinforced Walgreens’ commitment to accessibility.

  • Most importantly, gave employees a platform to be seen, valued, and celebrated.

  • Won a Shorty Award for authentic storytelling.
